First, we have created a back to school supply wish list. In an effort to make sure all of our students and teachers have access to the supplies they need, donations will be divide amongst all classrooms. There is a sign-up link in the right hand column of this page which will take you to this list.

Fifth Annual Fairmont Auction - March 11

Register and Purchase Tickets:  Fairmont Auction Website

On March 11, 2017, we will be holding our fifth annual Fairmont Silent Auction at the El Cerrito Community Center. The auction will raise money for the music and science programs, as well as general PTA programs, thus benefiting every child at Fairmont.

Our Silent Auction committee is working hard to solicit donations from companies and organizations. However, to make this event more community-based, we would like to encourage every classroom to contribute an item to be auctioned off in the form of either:

Please join us for our first Winter Festival show, December 12th, at 6:30, in the MPR. Multicultural Spring Festival

Fairmont's PTA is organizing a Multicultural Spring Festival/Potluck on April 30, 2016. We are planning to make this multicultural event fun, with different kinds of food, crafts, games, music, dance and presentations about different cultural backgrounds of Fairmont School.  We need your support to make this event happen. We invite everyone to participate and present their culture by performing: such as dancing, singing, and sharing their food, bringing a cultural game or activity/craft. You can make poster presentations about the country you are or your parents from.

Spell-A-Thon Makes $6500 for Our Students

The Fairmont Spell-A-Thon has raised over $6,500 — the highest amount raised since the event was started seven years ago. Kudos to all students and their families for their generous donations to this academics-based fundraiser. A big thank you also to the teachers and staff for their instrumental support in making this event successful. All money will go towards PTA-funded programs such as Mr. Mark's music program, Dr. Heather's science program, the 5th grade science camp, and the library program.

Fairmont Wins Award for Recycling and Composting Program

Fairmont is the first and only school in the district to implement a compost collection program. Students and staff have participated in a pilot program called Waste Matters hosted by The Watershed Project for the last three years. Students are learning about the negative effects of putting food scraps in the landfill. Students understand how to sort their lunch garbage into compost bins, recycling bins, and trash. For these efforts, Fairmont receive 4 awards from the Sustainable Contra Costa 2015 Award Program including:
