Reflections Art Program

Express Yourself Through Art in the PTA’s Reflections Program

Each year, Fairmont students are invited to participate in the PTA’s Reflections program, a national art contest designed to encourage students to explore their creativity and personal expression.

This year's theme: "Heroes Around Me"

Entries will be judged in three groups:

  1. What is the program? Our philosophy is holistic and multi-disciplinary, with a focus on the connections between humans and the environment. Through our outdoor science lessons, we deliver hands-on learning opportunities for students around themes of scientific inquiry and investigation, earth and life science, ecological communities and interdependence, and environmental stewardship.

The Story of Fairmont’s Edible Garden

The Fairmont edible garden was previously an unused, ivy-covered plot located outside the kindergarten classrooms. Thanks to the vision and hard work of parent volunteers and teachers, the garden is now transformed into an outdoor classroom that allows for hands on science exploration and education to take place in school.
