Multicultural Spring Festival
We are in need of help with our upcoming Multicultural Spring Festival, which will be held Friday, April 29th at 6pm in the MPR. This is a free event with lots of different types of food, music, dancing, and your child will learn about their friends' backgrounds as well as their own. We invite everyone to participate by bringing a dish and wearing their native costumes. The greater the participation, the more fun will be had! Also, the committee meeting for the festival is this Thursday, March 30th. If you are interested in helping coordinating this event, please meet outside the faculty office at 2:45pm.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who melped make our auction a success. None of this would have been possible without the donations of our local businesses so an especially big thank you for donating to our children's education. We raised over $14,000. The Nakamura Family won the Disneyland tickets, Isias Perez won the Tickets to the Disney Museum and Morgan Zamora won the USS Hornet Tickets.
Many of our auction committee members will be graduating this year so we are looking for volunteers to help run the event next year. If you are interested please contact Debbie Marshall at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Monday morning was our first meeting of Parent University. This is a great opportunity to learn how to advocate for your child. Bring your ideas and questions, this group is tailored to the needs of the parents. Breakfast and childcare are provided. The next session will be April 10th from 8:45-10:45am. If you have questions please contact Adriana in the office.
