In this newsletter: Earth Day Clean-up, FASEP Session 3 Update, Science Fair, Silent Auction/Open House, EC Hillside Festival
Everyone is invited to the Fairmont Garden clean-up in honor of Earth Day on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 9 am to 12 noon. We'll clean up the "North Garden'' opposite the kindergarten wing and the native garden in front of the school along Stockton and Kearney, and empty soil from the raised garden beds by the old senior center so they can be moved to our NEW "East Garden." Please bring your own tools, gloves and water.
We're especially looking for people to bring wheelbarrows or buckets for moving mulch and dirt. There is also a need for cardboard for sheet-mulching, although please no cardboard with colored inks.
Volunteers are eligible for a complimentary lunch at the El Cerrito Community Center from 12:30 pm-1:30 pm.

Silent Auction/Open House
When: Thursday, April 18th
Food Truck Time: 4PM - 8PM
Auction Time: 5pm-8pm
Open House Time: 6-7PM
We want to make sure that teachers and staff have the opportunity to visit the food truck so it will be open early. Come and have a picnic on campus and then head in at 5 PM to check out the great items up for bid. Brand new this year, instant checkout for "buy now" items! These items may be paid for at the "by now" price immediately at the check out tables. Head to your child(s) classroom(s) at 6PM to check out what they have been working on this trimester. Classrooms will close at 7 and auction tables will start closing at 7:15 pm. Students may NOT bid. There is no fee to enter the auction but you can register to bid online now. Student Council will also be selling dessert so be sure to drop by the lunchroom "counter" to grab some dessert. One last note: the play structure will be roped off and students MUST be with an adult chaperone in order to enter the play structure area.
