PTA Subcommittee on Facilities/Overcrowding
The Facilities Subcommittee has expanded its scope to including the overcrowding issue at Fairmont. Our group is in discussion with the District about possible solutions to the overcrowding. We meet occasionally on the weekend to strategize. If facility improvements and/or reducing overcrowding is a topic you are interested in, please email Annika Dukes at firstname.lastname@example.org

Code Your World
We would like to invite you to attend this year's science night also known as (NYSD) or National Youth Science Day. It is a fun and educational night learning how to think like a computer in order to program a computer to animate your name, code your dance, program artificial intelligence and color your world.
The 11th Annual 4-H National Youth Science Day (NYSD) Challenge, Code Your World, will be held October 23rd, 2018 at Korematsu Middle School from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. It will take place in the Library. The event is for all youths ages 8 to 14 years old and you are not required to be a 4H member.
Code Your World activities are designed to get kids excited about computer science through hands-on learning an engaging way for kids to learn how to program a computer. The four engaging activities one computer based and three unplugged will teach computer science skills through fun topics like digital animation, gaming and dance. Code Your World is perfect for first-time and beginner coders.
Code Your World is geared for ages 8 years to 14 years old. We like to have a few youth leaders to lead approximately ten people in their group. Two adult 4H volunteers will oversee the different groups.
Date: 10/23/2018 (Tue.)
Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm PDT
Location: Korematsu Middle School, Library, 7125 Donal Ave, El Cerrito, CA 94530
